Even though the current weakness of the pound makes taking a holiday to places in Europe much more expensive it is helping out in other areas to make certain aspects of holidays cheaper. Some of the biggest discounts can be found on last minute deals where travel companies are trying to fill spaces they may have left over on bookings. Even if they gave over 50% off, the companies would still be making more money than they would if the places were to be left empty.

Surprisingly it is not just the average holidays that are seeing massive discounts being given. Skiing holidays, cruises and trips to the Caribbean are all seeing their prices falling and some real bargains are becoming available.

Also, some good news for bargain hunters out there, the duty free limits have been more than doubles in many places allowing you to bring back much more gifts and souvenirs than you could before. Experts predict that this low price holiday craze won’t last very long and so if you are thinking of going away then now is probably the best time.
